mealplnr ("we", "our", or "us") is built by intoiit. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the mealplnr app and website, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password.
Voice recordings. When you record a meal request, the audio is sent to our server and transcribed using OpenAI's Whisper API. We do not store raw audio permanently — it is deleted immediately after transcription.
Meal plans and shopping lists. The meal plans, shopping lists, and translations you generate are stored in our database and linked to your account so you can access them across devices.
Dietary profile. If you provide dietary preferences, allergies, or cuisine preferences in your profile, we store this information to personalise your meal plans.
Usage data. We may collect basic technical information such as device type, app version, and crash reports to improve the app. We do not use advertising tracking.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
mealplnr uses the following third-party services to operate:
Your account data and meal plans are retained as long as your account is active. Raw audio recordings are deleted immediately after transcription and are never stored persistently. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at team@mealplnr.app.
mealplnr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication, and HTTPS for all data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of mealplnr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
